Our client is a community teaching hospital and the largest providers on the North Shore offering comprehensive health services.
This facility is seeking a full time Pharmacy Operations Manager to be responsible for:
*the procurement, distribution, and control of all pharmaceuticals used within the facility
*evaluation and dissemination of comprehensive information about drugs and their use to the institution's staff and patients
8the monitoring, evaluation, and assurance of the quality of drug use
*oversees the activities of clinical pharmacy coordinators, any assistant management personnel, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students.
Qualifications:
*Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy is required; an advanced degree (Doctor of Pharmacy, MS in Hospital Pharmacy) and/or the successful completion of an ASHP-accredited Residency in Pharmacy are desirable, or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience with a focus on hospital management with operational and financial focuses
*Five to seven years' experience in institutional pharmacy practice is required; Three to five years management responsibility is preferred
*Licensed as a pharmacist in MA
*Must be able to communicate effectively with members of the hospital's clinical/management teams and staff
*Good analytical skills a must
