Our client serves communities throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine. They provide outreach clinics to many local hospitals in the region, allowing easier access for patients and supporting the role of those hospitals in their communities.
This facility is seeking a full time Infectious Disease Pharmacist to promote and coordinate the appropriate selection and usage of anti-infective agents via Anti-Infective Stewardship Program. The pharmacist will monitor and intervene on antibiotic therapy in individual patients via Anti-Infective Stewardship program or in collaboration with the infectious disease physicians; design and implement hospital and departmental quality improvement measures that involve anti-infectious use; attend and participate in hospital committees that address anti-infective use (Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Infection Control, etc); provide staff development and education; be responsible for staff in-service, precept pharmacy residents and student; participates at regional and national meetings whenever possible.
The candidate must have knowledge of PGY1 and PGY2 with a fellowship in Infectious Disease.
